Welcome to the Sound

The Seahawk Sound Band Organization (UNCW Pep Band) is a collection of students from different areas within our University. The students in the pep band range from music majors to non-music majors expanding all over campus. The Pep Band is open to everyone and is also a registered class (MUS 188) for 1 credit hour. The Seahawk Sound plays at both men's and women's home basketball games in Trask Coliseum, and at the end of the regular season, travel with the team to the Men’s and Women’s Colonial Athletic Association basketball tournaments to perform during both men's and women's games. In addition, each year the band plays for The Azalea Festival Parade as well as other various functions in Wilmington, N.C.
