Who will receive the Outstanding Student-Athlete Leadership Award this year?

"A true leader demonstrates courage, commitment and integrity."

SAAC presents this award each year to a senior who exhibits excellent leadership for their team as well as in the classroom and among their peers. Nominations are accepted from student-athletes and the SAAC board members vote on the nominees. The award is presented by the SAAC President at the Annual Athletic Awards Banquet.

The Athletic Department of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington operates within the guidelines set forth by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). UNC Wilmington, which sponsors 19 intercollegiate sports, has held Division I membership in the NCAA since the 1977-78 season.
