  •  Dr. Rockness spoke to SAAC about Relay For Life.
--> Two years ago there were 800 UNCW students in attendance for Relay For Life
--> We plan on having more for this year

  •  Megan gave special thanks to the baseball team for the Adopt-A-Highway and to Uri for redesigning
        the SAAC website.

  •  We are still in need for a family to give the Thanksgiving basket too. Give names to Pat Howey.

  •  Variety Show:

  •  So far this year, SAAC and UNCW Athletics have been involved with Move-In, Reading In Schools,
Boys & Girls Club Basketball Clinics, UNCW Visitation, Adopt-A-Highway, Midnight Madness
Promotion, and intending on doing much more

  •  Men's Swimming & Diving, Men's Tennis and Women's Soccer need to take senior pictures ASAP or
they will not be in the trophy case.

  •  Frank Higginbotham (SAAC Vice President) talked about the CAA SAAC Conference that he and
Megan attended last weekend. Facebook is a major concern within the conference and athletes
are expected to be tasteful and clean up their Facebook profiles. Athletes represent UNCW and
the CAA and obscenities will not be tolerated. Those with questions and or comments are
encouraged to speak to Megan and Frank.

  •  Also, the SAF (Special Assistance Fund), which is based on financial need, is available to all
athletes in need. It is based upon what your parents make each year. It helps with rehab,
prescription costs, etc. It is to $500 for other necessities. Those with questions about the SAF are
encouraged to speak with Melissa Odenwelder.

  •  This Friday, November 17, 2006, at Cape Fear Country Club there is a family and friends meet and
greet in which athletes are asked to attend with the Men’s and Women’s tennis teams and
