NCAA SAAC

February 18th, 2007

  •  Called To Order By Vice President Frank Higginbotham (Highest Attendance Meeting To Date)

  •  Sports Updates:
        --> Men's Swimming & Diving won CAA Title for 6th Year in a row.
        --> Women's Swimming & Diving were CAA Runner-Ups

  •  Relay For Life:
        --> Teams MUST BE REGISTERED by MARCH 8 at www.RelayforLife.org.
        --> All teams are currently tied at $0 for money raised.
        --> Money needs to be turned into Melissa Odenwelder as soon as possible.
        --> Relay For Life Bracelets are on sale in the Athletic Training Room for $2 and hemp ones from
                the soccer team are $4.
        --> If your team would like a bag of bracelets to sell, contact Frank as soon as possible.

  •  Variety Show:
        -->
    The variety show is April 24. The three committees split up to make a few decisions.
        --> The Planning Committee is meeting TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 21 at 12pm in the
                Golden Hawk Room to discuss planning activities and organization. Alex and Shade spoke
                with the news channel to promote the variety show. They just need to know the number of
                acts, etc to put in the press release.
        --> Ideas are due at the next SAAC meeting, March 11. We MUST know the act and what it entails
                or you will not participate.
        --> There was a question about where the money raised from the VS will go. The money will go
                directly to SAAC to help with our activities for athletes. It was reiterated that the variety
                show is not an option, it is required and mandatory. This will be brought up at the Coaches
                meeting.

  •  Meeting adjourned at 7:34 PM
