Braddigan Concert!

A night of music and inspiration. MPI-W put together this event to bring good music and a good cause to UNCW. For the hundreds in attendance Braddigan rocked out and told the story of La Chureca, a city trash dump in La Chureca.  MPI-W raised thousands of dollars that will go to help support the community of La Chureca. Thanks to everyone who made the night a success.

Braddigan Concert

April 4th, 2008

Kenan Auditorium, Wilmington, NC

8 pm $5

Brad Corrigan (Braddigan) was formerly with the legendary independent band, Dispatch. Now Brad plays jam band music with a hint of reggae with a Brazilian bassist and a Puerto Rican percussionist. This international band is set on producing great music and using melody to have an impact in the lives of the people they meet. They have an extreme passion for the people who live in city dump, amongst mountains of trash, in Managua, Nicaragua, who despite living in dark conditions are full of light.

MPI-W had the pleasure to meet Braddigan at Dia de Luz when we were in Nicaragua for our spring break trip. Brad is the founder of Love, Light & Melody, an organization designed to raise awareness and serve the 1,000 people who live in the city dump and sift through trash to find recyclables to sell in order to provide for their families.
