The phone line most commonly used by the international students is AT&T’s Pay-As-You-Go. You buy credit whenever you need it. You pay $1 a day for unlimited phone calls to other AT&T holders. Be aware that in America, you pay to send and receive text messages. AT&T offers 200 text messages for $5 or 1000 for $10 (a text message costs $0.15 per unit otherwise).

In your rooms on campus, you have a phone jack (socket) to plug in a phone. All calls to the Wilmington area are free.

For international phone calls, the solution most students choose seems to be Skype. You can call any other Skype owner for free, or call international phones at a preferential price. Skype
