Where we play

We get to travel all over the states to compete with other ultimate teams. We host a few tournaments here in Wilmington, including the famous Easterns tournament and in March. In the past we have traveled to Florida, California, Atlanta, Richmond, Charleston, and all over the great state of North Carolina.

What if I have never played before?

No problem. Most of the team learns the sport in college. Just come out to practice and we will teach you how to play. Seaweed is a mix of beginners, seasoned players, and awesome coaches.

The Sport

Ultimate Frisbee is a non- contact sport played with 7 people on each team. Ultimate is played on a 70 yard by 40 yard field with 25 deep endzones. The game starts with each team lined up on their respective end zone. The team who will be defense for the upcoming play “pulls” (throws) the frisbee to the opposing team. This is similar to a kick off in football. The team who catches the disc (frisbee) is the offense. The point of the game is for the offensive team to throw the disc down the field to be caught by one of their players in the end zone. One point is awarded each time this is achieved.

So come on out and PLAY!
