The UNCW Triathlon Club is coached by TriMemo
Coach Memo started participating in endurance sports in 2002 when he ran his
first marathon. Shortly after that he entered his first triathlon and
immediately fell in love with the sport. Memo went on to do a couple more
triathlons for the 2002 season. In 2003 he raced for the Camp Lejeune Marine
Corps team. During that year he accomplished several of his goals including his
dream of doing an Ironman distance race, he not only finished but finished 8th
in his division. Coach Memo loves the sport and teaching athletes about the
sport and what better way to do that than to coach. Memo is a certified USAT
coach, certified USA Cycling coach and has a BS in psychology. Memo served in
the US Marine Corps for 8 years and currently works full time. Coach Memo also
has a family so he knows first hand how to use training time wisely.
