TO APPLY FOR TRAVEL GRANTS!!!

These grants are designed to reward excellence in scholarship and to increase the visibility of the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s graduate programs within the academic community.

 

Graduate Student Association (GSA) Travel Grants

The Graduate Student Association provides graduate students with travel grants to attend professional conferences, workshops, or to complete thesis research. Funds are limited and all guidelines are strictly enforced.

This scholarship award is up to $250, in addition, the applicant can acquire extra funds from their respective departmental- GSA fund. The award cannot be accompanied with the Graduate School Travel Grant. Funds will be reimbursed to the applicant's student account if the applicant is graduate assistant, or check.

**ATTENTION STUDENTS REGARDING GSA TRAVEL GRANTS**
Please submit the completed application to Colton Sinkovich, along with your letter of support
(from your faculty advisor, mentor, etc) at : cjs2477@uncw.edu

Also note that, all completed applications must be submitted no later than 3 weeks prior to the requested Travel Date.

Please note that you have to attend at least one GSA meeting during the academic year to receive a GSA travel grant. Attendance to a meeting can be either face-to-face or online via WebEx. All GSA meeting emails via Nancy Holland contain login information for WebEx.

Are you a first author or presenter for a conference?
If so, you are eligible for Graduate School Travel Allocation.

Graduate School Travel Allocation

The Graduate School Travel Allocation support student presentations of original, creative research or projects at a conference. Funds are limited and guidelines are strictly enforced. In the event of limited funds, preference will be given to applications from students beyond their first year of graduate study who did not receive a travel allocation last year. A student is eligible for only one travel allocation per academic year. Please submit the applicaton before your travel.

The Graduate School Travel Allocation is up to $600, in addition, the applicant can acquire extra funds from his/her respective departmental- GSA fund. For more information, please check out the Graduate School Travel Allocation link.
