President - Jack Kelly

Jack Kelly is currently pursuing an MA in English. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, class of 2013. Rivers are his main interest: reading about them, writing about them, watching them, paddling them. Basically anything with rivers. He is looking forward to teaching composition classes next year, along with working on the GSA to continue to develop interdisciplinary connections between graduate students.

Vice President - Jordynn Knott

Jordynn Millicent received her Bachelors in Social Work from UNCW and is now in her final year of obtaining her Masters in Social Work. She is an intern at A Helping Hand where she is concentrating on integrating Mindfulness in Couples and Family Counseling. Jordynn Millicent is also a student of Gestalt. Her view of counseling is to incorporate every aspect of a person in order to enrich healing and empowerment. Jordynn Millicent is a GA for the School of Social Work and volunteers her time with the LGBTQIA Resource Office. After graduation she plans on moving West Coast to attend a Ph.D program in Spiritual Psychology. Her highest aspiration is to be the next Deepak Chopra. Typically, she can always be spotted with huge sunglasses, decorative scarfs or her loud laughter. When not living the academia life, Jordynn Millicent spends time with her wife and their dog. Her best friend is Oprah Winfrey, however she is currently not awakened to that. In the meantime, Jordynn Millicent continues the dream of writing a book that Oprah is going to love and have published one day. Jordynn Millicent also loves to learn and talk about conspiracy theories, cook good food, watch documentaries, meditate or imagine a world full of Mary Poppins and Harry Potter possibilities.

Treasurer - Terrie Nelson

Terrie is in her final year of obtaining a Masters in Conflict Management and Resolution. She graduated from UNCW with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies in May 2012. After earning her bachelors, Terrie worked for UNCW's Office of Admissions as the Freshman Counselor for Eastern North Carolina. She currently works for the New Hanover and Pender County District Attorney, Benjamin David, as a Victim Witness Legal Advocate. Terrie also serves as the President for the Conflict Management and Resolution program's Graduate Student Association (GSA). In her free time, Terrie enjoys photography, theatre, and volunteering with local non-profit organizations.

As Treasurer for the GSA, Terrie looks forward to helping graduate students utilize the different resources afforded to them and to assist them in learning outside of the classroom, whether it be attending conferences, collecting data, or traveling to present their research.
