2014-2015 Executive Board
Vice President - Jordynn Knott
Jordynn Millicent received her Bachelors in Social Work
from UNCW and is now in her final year of obtaining her Masters in
Social Work. She is an intern at A Helping Hand where she is
concentrating on integrating Mindfulness in Couples and Family
Counseling. Jordynn Millicent is also a student of Gestalt. Her view of
counseling is to incorporate every aspect of a person in order to enrich
healing and empowerment. Jordynn Millicent is a GA for the School of
Social Work and volunteers her time with the LGBTQIA Resource Office.
After graduation she plans on moving West Coast to attend a Ph.D program
in Spiritual Psychology. Her highest aspiration is to be the next
Deepak Chopra. Typically, she can always be spotted with huge
sunglasses, decorative scarfs or her loud laughter. When not living the
academia life, Jordynn Millicent spends time with her wife and their
dog. Her best friend is Oprah Winfrey, however she is currently not
awakened to that. In the meantime, Jordynn Millicent continues the dream
of writing a book that Oprah is going to love and have published one
day. Jordynn Millicent also loves to learn and talk about conspiracy
theories, cook good food, watch documentaries, meditate or imagine a
world full of Mary Poppins and Harry Potter possibilities.
