In 1946, Alpha Phi chose Cardiac Care to be our national philanthropy. In 2004, Alpha Phi launched our own red dress campaign to support cardiac care for women.

The Alpha Phi Foundation was established and adopted by the fraternity in 1956. The philanthropic priority of the Alpha Phi Foundation is to create awareness that cardiac disease is the #1 killer of women and to support research and programs dealing with the disease.

The Foundation also funds educational and leadership programs, offers scholarships, assists women in crisis, recognizes outstanding cardiac care and research programs, supports community organizations, and awards outstanding college professors.

The Foundation is able to continue its spectacular programs through the voluntary contributions from Alpha Phi members and chapters, friends of Alpha Phi and matching grants from donors' employers. Alpha Phi is the first sorority to create our own foundation. 2006 marked our 50th anniversary.

This year we hosted our first King of Hearts pageant as our big philanthropy event.

Lots of Greeks came out to support us and the Fraternity men that were contestants in the pageant. King of Hearts was a success and we were able to raise over $3,500.

Last year our big philanthropy event was a tennis tournament that was open to everyone and we raised over a $1,000!
