About us

AED is a National Honor Society specifically for pre-health students. Of our members, we encourage and recognize excellence, offer volunteer opportunities to benefit the community, provide a meeting place for students with similar goals, and give advice for their futures.

Who can become a member?

All students in the pursuit of entering a professional healthcare career, including but limited to medicine, dentistry, nursing, veterinary medicine, optometry, podiatry, and physician assisting.

Requirements to become a national member

To have at least 3 semesters of pre-health course work

To maintain at least a 3.2 GPA

To obtain 25 service hours each semester

To attend at least 3/4 of the meetings each semester

Do not meet the requirements?

It's okay! You can be an affiliate member and attend all meetings and events until you do meet the requirements.
