We Work to Provide a Platform for Knowledge and Opportunity

The goal of the ACM at UNCW is to promote an increased knowledge of- and greater interest in the science, design, development, contruction, languages, management and applications of modern computing. Our goal is to also provide a platform for students interested in computing to discuss ideas and gain knowledge about the world of computing. We also work to consistently provide opportunities for these students to advance their careers before and after college.

Luc Garabrant is an Undergraduate Student and Residence Assistant at The University of North Carolina Wilmington. Some of his hobbies include weight-lifting, reading, and roller-blading. He is currently pursuing his Bachelors (B.S.) In Computer Science, Systems Option.

Stefano is currently a senior at Isaac Bear Early College High School. He plans on going into computer science for his software engineering after he graduates. Some of his interests include cooking, painting, and swimming. He looks forward to helping in the process of guiding this club towards success in its first year!

Blake has always loved technology. He recieved his Microsoft Office certifications in 2012, made his first website in 2016, and started coding with Python in 2018. Today he is rapidly learning web-scraping, data management automation, and machine learning using Python. He even does side projects like digital bookkeeping for a local business to apply his studies to the real world.

Montgomery is a computer scientist, programmer and digital artist with dreams of making his impact in the video gaming industry. He has always been fascinated with game design from the way a character moves, to the textures on it's surrounding environment. He has always had a passion for helping others and ACM is his way of using his particular areas of expertise to make a positive impact on his fellow students.

Yuvitza is from Bailey, North Carolina and is majoring in Computer Science with a Digital Arts minor. She is currently the Social Media specialist for ACM, a Mi CASA Mentor, a Centro Hispano Embajadora, and a member of the Women in Science and Engineering at UNCW. When she is not busy with school or work she loves to hike, play tennis, cook, and make clothes.

B.A. in Digital Arts, Mobile Application and Web Development Concentration. Minor in Computer Science
Kayla is a programmer, multimedia producer, and UX/UI designer, with work published in several magazines and displayed in the Cameron Art Museum. She was a computer security intern at a tech company in Raleigh, before attending UNCW, gaining experience liaising with national laboratories. She currently works as a project manager at a local film production/digital marketing agency, where one of her projects recently won two Telly Awards and a Communicator Award.
