Old business

            Last meeting talked about elections next month

            Fritz Rhode from DMF talked to students

            Became and official campus group on 16 March 06 when Stephanie signed the constitution which gets access to funding, banking, and supplies

            Chris is working on website

            Funding has two types, we receive base funding after 2 full semesters, special even funding is once per semester

New Business

            Nominations for new officers will be conducted via email, gave overview of positions

            Fundraisers: bake sale outside of stores (Sam’s Club), want to do before end of April to help jump start funding; last week of classes, need students to fill time, going to send dates via email, Peter suggested doing it during finals week in library during late night

            Weigh stations at fishing tournaments in May, ask for donations, maybe sell T-Shirts

            Jason Rogers is here to talk, he is the Cape Fear C.C. department head of Marine Tech. Program

Next meeting

            Will get phone list together for fundraisers

            Hold meetings every 3^rd Thursday of each month

            Get booth at involvement carnival on Aug 30^th 2006

            Sell fish sandwiches at Beer Fest

            Fish fry at surf contests

            Fred will talk next month about the current research at UNCW and possible technician postions

            Will Smith will send out email looking for field volunteers

            Activity next month will be to paint spirit rock after meeting
